Maga City iPhone app serves as Keenway’s marketing vehicle to achieve the following:

1. brand exposure to consumers
2. a value-added component to customers
3. a mobile marketing showcase

Result

Over 200,000 sets of Mega City were shipped from Hong Kong to major markets in USA, UK, Canada and France through the distribution channels such as Walgreen and Argos. A QR code is printed on the packaging of the toy set for parents’ easy download from iTunes app store. As a business extension, My Mega City can be evolved into an appcessory, which is a potential market forecast to be growing tremendously.

My Mega City is promoting a new way of parent-children interaction in the age of mobile. When even toddlers know how to operate a smartphone, My Mega City aims at developing a game with multi-facets, promoting social interactions rather than just one-dimensional tapping.

Mobile Solutions

My Mega City is a mobile game on iPhone for children to learn hand-eye coordination via engaging interactive interface and animation. It is a free playground app for parents to interact with their children. Children can touch and explore the entire Mega City by completing all 21 mini tasks and after completing one challenge, the next stage can be unlocked. While at the same time, parents can earn priceless moments with their children. To make the game more engaging, different multi-touch gestures and even the microphone is incorporated in the game play.

Originality

My Mega City app is a brand building initiative by Keenway, who is a toy manufacturer of bestselling toy series Mega City. All the stories, characters and story objects are based on photographed actual toys.

Creativity

The game is divided into 7 zones - pet home, fire station, farm, building construction, airport, police office, and house mansion, surroundings that children are familiar with. The game play is designed to maximize the use of multi-touch gestures, tapping, swiping, drag-and-drop, and even blowing!

Entertainment Value

The application is fun to play because they’re already familiar with the characters and setting. It’s interactive and while they may not be carrying the whole toy set around, the mobile game can be the best companion wherever they go.
