ARhrrrr AR Shooter – Don’t let them eat your brains, shoot the zombies over the air.

ARhrrr! is an awesome looking example of AR games. In this game you hold your augmented reality enabled device above the “board” (which surprisingly is not iPhone!) When you look at the board through your device you see buildings appear and ZOMBIES.

In this game you are a helicopter trying to save civilians. You can shoot zombies — the zombies can also attack you with organs. Or you can use Skittles as bombs. The video below gives a great explanation of the game:

According the ABI Research study “Augmented Reality: Adding Information to Our View of the World”, handheld platforms will transform the Augmented Reality ecosystem, with revenue associated with Augmented Reality growing from about $6 million in 2008 to more than $350 million in 2014. As advertisers learn to insert tags into navigation displays, mobile advertising revenue will grow slowly, representing a large portion of sectoral revenues in the 2013-2014 timeframe.

AR is definitely the trend to go.
