Coca Cola reveals new interactive mobile campaign "Open喇!“ using Pointcast

Riding on the success of the Chok! Chok! Chok! Campaign from last year, Coca Cola Hong Kong reveals a new digital ad and interactive mobile marketing campaign, called “Open喇“ this year, to let teens open bottle caps from the TV commercial and win prizes instantly through a smartphone app using Pointcast high frequency ultrasonic technology. Through using this innovative new technology and leveraging the power of mobile and social media, Coca Cola successfully connects with hundreds of thousands of target audience emotionally and the emotional attachment not only creates brand love but also brand loyalty which makes Coca Cola one of the most recognized Food & Beverage brands in the world.


How it works?

Step 1) Launch app at 10 pm every night

A Coca Cola TVC will be shown on TVB channel 81 and 85 every night at 10 pm throughout the campaign period. Users simply launch the Coca Cola Open喇 smartphone app once the TVC is playing on their television.

 

STEP 2) Shake it!

When you see the “Open 喇“ badge showing up in the TV commercial, place you phone toward the TV and collect the bottle caps by shaking your phone when you hear the special sound effect.

 

STEP 3) Win big prize instantly

After you successfully collect all 3 bottle caps, you will have the chance to win many different prizes (total value of all prizes are over $50,000,000 HKD) and the ultimate big prize Volkswagen car.

 

STEP 4) Exchange bottle caps with friends and win more prizes

To win more prizes, you need to collect different combination of bottle caps. You can connect your Facebook account  and exchange bottle caps with your Facebook friends so you don’t have to collect all bottle caps by yourself.
